On industrial vehicles, solid tires are consumable parts. Regardless of the solid tires of forklifts that are frequently operated, the solid tires of loaders, or the solid tires of scissor lifts that move relatively small, there is wear and aging. Therefore, when the tires are worn to After a certain level, they all need to be replaced. If they are not replaced in time, there may be the following dangers:
1. The load capacity is reduced, causing accelerated wear and excessive heat generation.
2. During acceleration and braking, there is a danger of wheel slip, and loss of direction control.
3. The stability of the load side of the truck is reduced.
4. In the case of twin tires installed together, the tire load is uneven.
The replacement of solid tires should follow the following principles:
1. Tires must be replaced according to the recommendations of the tire manufacturer.
2. The tires on any axle shall be solid tires of the same specification with the same structure and tread patterns manufactured by the same manufacturer.
3. When replacing solid tires, all tires on the same axle should be replaced. New and old tires are not allowed mix fixed. And Mixed tires from different manufacturers are strictly prohibited also. Pneumatic tires and solid tires are strictly prohibited!
4. Generally, the wear value of the outer diameter of the rubber solid tire can be calculated according to the following formula. When it is less than the specified value Dwear, it should be replaced:
{Dworn=3/4(Dnew—drim)+ drim}
Dworn= The outside diameter of the wear tire
Dnew= The outside diameter of the new tire
drim = The outside diameter of the rim
Take the 6.50-10 forklift solid tire as an example, whether it is an ordinary rim type or a quick-install solid tire, it is the same.
Dworn=3/4(578—247)+ 247=495
That is, when the outer diameter of the used solid tire is less than 495mm, it should be replaced with a new tire! For non-marking tires, when the outer layer of light-colored rubber is worn out and the black rubber is exposed, it should be replaced in time. Continued use will affect the working environment.
